CIP RC/PT Girder Help

Time-Dependent Material Properties

CIP RC/PT Girder accounts for the time dependent material properties and loss types using the ACI-209R-92 model, CEB-FIP 1990 model, AASHTO LRFD model, or the user may input the prestress loss and use linear-elastic analysis. Time-dependent material properties include the compressive strength of concrete, modulus of rupture/tensile strength, modulus of elasticity, shrinkage strain, creep coefficient, steel relaxation, and prestress loss. The time-dependent analysis used by CIP RC/PT Girder incorporates specific material properties and parameters for the following; CIP slab or box girder beams, rebar, and post-tensioning. Columns are always modeled as linear-elastic material. When lump-sum is specified, all material properties are based on the 28-day values specified. The concrete strength used for allowable stresses in initial case are based on f′ci as input. The loss of prestress in this case is as specified, and are not calculated based on shrinkage, creep and relaxation.
